Conditions of participation for seminars, webinars and workshops at tecteam

Registration/Order

A registration/order is binding as soon as it is confirmed in writing (by e-mail or post) by tecteam Bildungsinstitut GmbH, hereinafter referred to as tecteam.

Costs/prices

Costs/prices are stated in the respective seminar description or in the offer or training contract prepared by tecteam. Costs for drinks during breaks and lunch on the day of the seminar are covered by tecteam, unless otherwise specified in the offer or training contract. Travel and accommodation costs are borne by the participants.

We will invoice you for our services after you have placed your order and before the seminar, webinar or workshop begins. Costs and prices are net amounts and apply to one participant. The applicable VAT will be added to all costs and prices. Invoiced amounts are due without deduction upon receipt of the invoice.

Cancellation/termination

Cancellation/termination of a registration/order must be made in writing by e-mail or by post. If tecteam receives the cancellation later than two weeks before the confirmed seminar date, tecteam will charge 50% of the costs as a cancellation fee. Cancellations received by tecteam later than one week before the start date, or in the event of absence on the day of the seminar or discontinuation of participation, the full costs must be paid.

Seminar documents

tecteam provides the seminar documents approx. 2 weeks before the start of the seminar. The documents must be printed out by the participants or brought to the seminar in electronic form on their own mobile device. tecteam does not provide the participants with any seminar documents on site.

Access

tecteam will only grant participants access to the seminar documents and the seminar if the invoiced amount has been credited to tecteam's account before the seminar date confirmed by tecteam.

Accommodation

When attending face-to-face seminars, participants reserve their own accommodation and cover the costs. You will find recommendations for accommodation in various price categories on the tecteam website.

Durchführung

The seminars take place on the dates specified in the registration confirmation or in the training schedule. tecteam will announce on its website and in the invitation whether a seminar will take place as a face-to-face or web seminar.

For web seminars, tecteam generally uses the Zoom software(zoom.us) and sends the access data to the participants in good time before the seminar begins.

To participate in web seminars, participants need a webcam, microphone and speakers or headphones as well as a broadband internet connection. tecteam recommends a PC or laptop with a sufficiently large screen for participation. Tablet PCs with small screens or smartphones are generally less suitable.

When participating in web seminars, participants are responsible for the functioning of their own hardware and software. This applies in particular to possible restrictions on Internet use, e.g. by the employer.

Classroom seminars usually take place at tecteam Bildungsinstitut für Technische Kommunikation, 44263 Dortmund, Antonio-Segni-Str. 4. The seminars start at 8:30 am and end at approx. 4:00 pm.

On attendance seminar days, tecteam will provide drinks during breaks and lunch, unless otherwise specified in the offer or training contract.

At the end of the seminar, tecteam will provide participants with a non-qualified certificate of attendance.

tecteam reserves the right to change lecturers and to postpone or change the course or the course content. tecteam has the right to postpone or cancel seminars if lecturers are unavailable, if the number of participants is too low or for other important reasons. tecteam will inform the participants in this case and give alternative dates if possible. If this is not possible, tecteam will refund the seminar price to the participants.

Participation in the seminar is not transferable to another person.

Contents

If indicated in the description, the tecteam seminars convey essential contents of the tekom qualification modules or the tekom competence model(tekom.de). tecteam is free to interpret the content described therein and does not guarantee that the learning content and objectives described in the model will be taught in full.

Confidentiality

The seminar documents and content may only be used by persons who are named as participants in the registration form or in the offer or training contract prepared by tecteam. Participants undertake to treat all passwords and access data received confidentially and not to make them accessible to third parties.

Copyright and exploitation rights

All documents and materials provided by tecteam as part of the seminars become the property of the participants as soon as they are made available. Copyright and contractually agreed exploitation rights apply to all content, documents and materials. Reproduction of the content, documents and materials provided for purposes not expressly authorized by tecteam as well as disclosure, exploitation and communication to third parties is expressly prohibited. Any infringement of these rights will result in claims for damages.

Data protection

tecteam collects and processes personal data in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Information on data protection at tecteam can be found on the tecteam website(tecteam.de).
As part of the business relationship, participants must provide tecteam with the personal data that is necessary for the establishment and execution of the business relationship and the fulfillment of the associated contractual obligations or that tecteam is legally obliged to collect. Personal data will only be passed on to persons who are directly involved in the implementation of the seminars or further training.

Additional agreements/deviating agreements

Additional or deviating agreements must be made in writing, e.g. by e-mail. Verbal collateral agreements are not valid.

For participants in seminars whose further training is funded by public funding bodies (e.g. employment agency, pension insurance provider, etc.), different or additional agreements may apply. These are listed in the respective offer or further training contract and replace the corresponding points in these conditions of participation or supplement the conditions listed here.

Liability

If a seminar has to be canceled for reasons for which tecteam is responsible, only the costs already paid will be reimbursed. Further claims are excluded. For damages for which tecteam is responsible, tecteam is only liable - for whatever legal reason - insofar as tecteam is guilty of intent and/or gross negligence.

All information in the seminars and seminar documents is provided by tecteam to the best of its knowledge and belief. tecteam accepts no liability for any errors in the information provided verbally or in writing in the seminar or in the documents or data carriers. Likewise, tecteam accepts no liability for any resulting damages or consequential damages.

Place of jurisdiction

The place of jurisdiction for all legal issues arising from the registration for or ordering of tecteam seminars is Dortmund. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply.

Partial invalidity

Should individual provisions of these conditions of participation be invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In this case, the ineffective provisions shall be replaced by effective ones with corresponding content.
