Smart Information Management and New Continuing Education Concepts

Once again this year, tecteam GmbH will be presenting its full range of offerings—from services to professional development—at the tekom Annual Conference.

At the tecteam booth 2/E02, visitors can learn about the impact of Industry 4.0 on technical communication. The economy is on the cusp of the fourth industrial revolution. Industry 4.0 makes every step of the value chain transparent. The factory of tomorrow will be faster, more efficient, and more flexible, and will be able to economically produce customized products even in batch sizes of one. With the transition to Industry 4.0, the world of work will also change in the coming years. The technological possibilities for linking objects, data, and processes place new demands on everyone involved in technical communication—systematic, intelligent information management will be the solution.

The newly redesigned Master’s program (MSc) in Technical Communication and Media Management, starting in the winter semester of 2017, offers more realistic opportunities to complete the part-time program on time and successfully. Several course components have been reduced or eliminated, while the program’s focus on multimedia information documents and media design has been expanded.

As part of the relaunch of the tekom certification (requirements of the international standard DIN EN ISO/IEC 17024), the tecteam Training Institute has updated its training curriculum and is now accredited at the Expert level under the new competency framework. The continuing education professionals at the tecteam booth will provide information on the opportunities and challenges associated with the certification that will need to be addressed in the future.
